An obituary notice is a news article that reports the recent death of a person, and will normally be accompanied by a description of the person’s life and (if known) information about the upcoming funeral. This can sometimes be referred to as an ‘announcement’.
There are two types of notices that are generally available for obituaries.
- Known as a death notice, this omits most biographical details and may be a legally required public notice under some circumstances.
- A paid for paid memorial advertisement, normally in a local paper is usually written by family members or friends, and Craven are on hand to help with this if required.
